It was interesting to note last week that three of our past Prime Ministers took it upon themselves to publish their point of view with regard to a possible war once again in the Gulf. Far be it from me to say whether they were right in doing so but I did hear and agree that their efforts would have been better directed to the United Nations and their role in preventing such a war. However, as we put forth our thoughts and beliefs, do we stop to think of what did happen on September 11th 2001 and how easy it is for it to be repeated. While we are dealing with a race of people who are insensitive to making human bombs, what guarantee do we have that the same disregard for their own people will not be directed towards us. If on the other hand the real issue is oil then either way I can't see that we can win. I still find it hard to understand the reasons behind the terrorists actions on September 11th and only can repeat what I said way back then - how come I'm still here? No I don't think we are a privileged race - I think we have to come to real terms with the world to-day and stand behind those who are prepared to make that stand. To be or not to be is not the question the question is are we equipped to question the leaders of to-day? I must admit that I do have psychic abilities but do not trade on them. |
