Miners aren’t

“Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard says the low effective company
tax rate proves big mining companies can afford to pay more.”
This remark comes from the same person who is behind the bureaucracy
that has been reported as eating one third of school funds.
Has anyone questioned that the real reason for the controversial 40%
super tax is to pay for the irresponsible spending of Australia’s
wealth by the current Labor government?
God help us should Australia be subject to another 3 years of the

Sometime back in the late 1990’s the government of the day sought
submissions from small business with regard to the banking habits of
our major banking institutions. I know because I acted on behalf of
a small business.
Unfortunately it was put on hold because of a forthcoming election.
It is a pity that the intended investigation into the services and
fees of our banking system back then did not go ahead.
The
initial introduction of ATM’s and in time access to the internet was
to cut down on the banks’ needing extra staff to cater for our
monetary needs. My bank like all others lacks the necessary tellers

While our
current Prime Minister continues to run our country from the four corners of the

Democracy is the worst
form of government except for all those others that have been tried.
(Sir Winston Churchill) [1]
If
the relationship between Prime Minister, Parliament and the electorate is the
most democratic part of the system it is slowly being eroded.
Accountability, a dirty word in this day and age of the Labor Party, is robbing
us of the true meaning of democracy.
Althoughthere is no guarantee that democratic decisions
produce just and wise decisions about relations with other nations (e.g. on war,
trading policies), including environmental questions and other matters affecting
the interests of future generations democracy must be the main aim
of our government.
What
does democracy mean? In Ancient Greece some cities were democracies, others were
oligarchies. Democracy here in Australia once meant being ruled by the people,
however, the question now to be considered is are we currently oligarchy and
being ruled by the few?
While unions continue to influence the Labor Party is it fair to assume that
oligarchy does rule?
From
wanting to have welfare participants use a debit card in order to monitor their
spending habits to banning up to two year old children from watching television
along with other numerous ‘nanny type’ and non feasible policies one can only
conclude that Australia is fast becoming the socialist non-democratic country

When we look back at the splurge of spin that Kevin Rudd sprouted in
his essay ‘The Global Financial Crisis’ we have to ask the question what did he
not understand about the word ‘crisis’?
In my book Kevin Rudd has always from the very beginning of his
prime ministerial duties displayed tendencies towards manic depression; he
certainly gains admiration for his diplomatic skills, however, it is a definite
virtue that I dislike—at
the same time I do not admire his vice of here today gone tomorrow.
Kevin Rudd was voted in as the leader of this country’s government.
Taking credit for our past leader’s successes yet on the other hand continually
blaming him for the wrongs facing this country surely does not put him in a
credible position.
At
what point of time will both Kevin Rudd and Julia
Gillard take responsibility for the policies neglected
by them? Their inability to be made accountable is the
real ‘crisis’ facing this country which in time can only
lead to Australia being at the real front of the ‘Global
Financial Crisis’.
“Researchers developing national early childhood
guidelines are expected to recommend that children under two should not be
allowed to watch television.”
Yesterday it was
reported that the Government plans to monitor the use of welfare
payments - today we read they want to monitor the TV viewing of our
children up to two years old. Will we read to-morrow that they want
to monitor those who will be allowed to live past two years old?

"THE PM has had a victory with the Oceanic Viking, so he should drop the spin." What victory? It is you who should drop the spin.
While our current Prime Minister continues to run our country from the four corners of the earth his ability to be in control is fast becoming a ‘farce’.
THE AUSTRALIAN
Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried. (Sir Winston Churchill) [1]
If the relationship between Prime Minister, Parliament and the electorate is the most democratic part of the system it is slowly being eroded. Accountability, a dirty word in this day and age of the Labor Party, is robbing us of the true meaning of democracy.
Although there is no guarantee that democratic decisions produce just and wise decisions about relations with other nations (e.g. on war, trading policies), including environmental questions and other matters affecting the interests of future generations democracy must be the main aim of our government.
What does democracy mean? In Ancient Greece some cities were democracies, others were oligarchies. Democracy here in Australia once meant being ruled by the people, however, the question now to be considered is are we currently oligarchy and being ruled by the few?
While unions continue to influence the Labor Party is it fair to assume that oligarchy does rule?
From wanting to have welfare participants use a debit card in order to monitor their spending habits to banning up to two year old children from watching television along with other numerous ‘nanny type’ and non feasible policies one can only conclude that Australia is fast becoming the socialist non-democratic country envisioned by Rudd in his essay 'The Global Financial Crisis'.

Labor losing war on bureaucratic waste as consultants' bill hits $450m: November 10th, 2009
He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire. (Sir Winston Churchill) [1]
When we look back at the splurge of spin that Kevin Rudd sprouted in his essay ‘The Global Financial Crisis’ we have to ask the question what did he not understand about the word ‘crisis’?
In my book Kevin Rudd has always from the very beginning of his prime ministerial duties displayed tendencies towards manic depression; he certainly gains admiration for his diplomatic skills, however, it is a definite virtue that I dislike—at the same time I do not admire his vice of here today gone tomorrow.
Kevin Rudd was voted in as the leader of this country’s government. Taking credit for our past leader’s successes yet on the other hand continually blaming him for the wrongs facing this country surely does not put him in a credible position.
At what point of time will both Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard take responsibility for the policies neglected by them? Their inability to be made accountable is the real ‘crisis’ facing this country which in time can only lead to Australia being at the real front of the ‘Global Financial Crisis’.

“Researchers developing national early childhood guidelines are expected to recommend that children under two should not be allowed to watch television.”
Yesterday it was reported that the Government plans to monitor the use of welfare payments - today we read they want to monitor the TV viewing of our children up to two years old. Will we read to-morrow that they want to monitor those who will be allowed to live past two years old?

"I think it is in Australia's interests that the Australian federal Government balance continues to be seen as one of the strongest balance sheets in the industrial world," he said.
As a retiree with very strong past affiliations with the administration side of both small and large businesses I clearly read between the above lines of the Treasury secretary Ken Henry. Continues to be seen; what balance sheets in the industrial world could Australia possibly have when from all other accounts our manufacturing industries are going to the wall? How do I know? I was constantly called upon to help clean up the financial mess left behind as a result of the Whitlam years and the Hawke and Keating years. Rose C Taylor - Melton West.

Here in Melton I purposely go out of my way to purchase the occasional Lotto ticket as the agency closest to me is run and owned by adult Indians who never smile and take delight in charging 50cents for a photocopy of one and/or numerous documents. Perhaps the genuine Indian students should also be addressing the behavior of their elders?

Hero’s brother demands action:
As a worried citizen, I wish to state my concern for the future of not only Melbourne, but throughout the whole of Victoria the certainty of safety both on our streets and as we go about our daily lives. I want this for all Victorians regardless of age but I want it in particular for our younger generation.
It is time for Mr. Brumby to put in place the promised essential law enforcement procedures to combat the violence that is happening throughout Melbourne and our regional and country areas.

Sounds like you are having the “Sydney Experience”
And there is Zilch (Apart from my approach below) we can do about it with the consensus being; “This is just the way things are these days”.
I hear people on television (Hosts) stating the above “It’s the way things are today.")
Out this way you can end up shot, stabbed or bashed, over the smallest of issues (Car space, etc).
And, in many cases, if you back down (The absolute worse thing to do) this is what will happen.
Out here I have learnt that the best defense is a strong offence, when dealing with certain ethnic groups (Gangs, youths), and the local yobbo’s. It works.
I have many of the local young Wanabe’s (Gangsters) eating out of my palm.
They are used to people cowering, not turning on them and giving them a whooping.
How did we ( Australia) get this way? Blame the idiots preaching TOLERANCE.
This has led to the belief that all forms of behavior (Including Cultural mores) are to be accepted.
Whilst complaining about it, is considered to be INTOLERANCE.
Drunken Yobs, Ethnic gangs, road rage incidents, etc, etc.
And, the innocent victims, are often portrayed as the guilty one’s.
As the standards slip further and further, expect more of the same Only worse).
Australia seems to be going down the tubes (toilet).
Seeing the way the kids talk and behave, not to mention so called (Adults), it’s mind boggling.
We once had the best living standard in the world.
30 plus years later, after the Social engineers have had their way, we are considered somewhere between 2nd and 3rd world, in many aspects of our society.
Go figure.
Daniel.
